Warranty
Three warranties, kept apart
The shingle maker’s warranty, our workmanship warranty and the no-moss warranty are different promises from different people. Each has its own block.
- 01
The maker’s warranty
It comes from the company that made the shingles or panels, and it covers manufacturing defects in the material.
The tier name and terms are on your estimate
The maker registers it, and we tell you who does
It does not cover how a roof was installed
- 02
Our workmanship warranty
It comes from us, and it covers leaks at the work we did.
Repairs: 12 months
A new roof: the term is written on your estimate before you sign
Not covered: storm damage, other parts of the roof, or damage after someone else works on it
- 03
The no-moss warranty
It comes from us, and it covers moss we treated.
Moss regrows on a surface we treated, within 12 months: we treat it again at our cost
Applies when gutters run and limbs are trimmed back as the invoice says
Not covered: slopes we did not treat, algae streaks or worn shingles
In plain words
Two words that need an answer
What “lifetime” means
When a shingle maker says lifetime, it means the maker’s life of the shingle for manufacturing defects, usually for as long as you own the home, and usually prorated. We do not use the word for our own work.
What the plan is not
The roof care plan pays for visits. It is not insurance and does not pay for damage, leaks or repairs.
